Charm

This Jersey City, NJ group sang doo-wop and soul in the 'Boyz II Men' tradition, though their repertoire extended from the 'forties-era Ink Spots to Motown.  We had the great honor of working with Tom Baylor who arranged a lot of Michael Jackson's vocals and Phil Ramone on the Innocent Man Album with Billy Joel. This gig was originally for 14 Karat Soul, with whom I joined later, but they were away in France so with no savvy management, we lost out on a bigger opportunity. We were paid up front and I was the only one credited with the vocal when the album came out. That's the industry for you. - Mike
